Photo editing

Within our social media duo. I edit the pictures for our instagram. I use and app called VSCO to get our desired look. From looking at accounts such as the Wallows, they have a good mix of very candid, funny unfiltered posts and more staged shots that fit their band persona. I wanted to recreate this. 

I increase the warmth of the pictures and add some grain and fade them slightly to make the image look slightly like a disposable camera.

Fake Magazine cover

Georgia and I had a look into magazines so that we could make a fake magazine cover for our social media. We found an indie music magazine called 'So Young Magazine' and they were perfect! from the design elements and youthful block colours to the bands that they wrote about and interviewed they were just right for our band image.

with these two covers we liked the vibrant colours and the combination between digital images and illustration. 

Georgia started by making a basic template based off of the first picture. They use the exact same font for every cover so she used the same colour background by using a colour droplet feature and then added a screen shot of the font over the top to mimic the magazine. 

From there I edited images of the band and sent them to her so that she could individually crop each member of the band from different images to create a collaged effect. 

Georgia and I then went through the options and decided which ones we liked best for the cover. we then narrowed it down to two options

we went with option two and Georgia sent me the digital image. From here I used and app called Picsart to add on the illustrated element to the cover.

This was our final cover image, we both really liked it and thought it was very fitting for our brand image. 

pick up shots

Georgia and I took look out of our lesson today and tried to take the pick up shots for our music video. 

I also met with Luke during our free period and filmed some shots and got photos for our social media campaign 

Unfortunetly we weren't able to use the shots in the music video as the quality didn't match what we had originally shot which was frustrating.
